As more and more food startups are emerging in this city’s food scene everyday & gaining early traction is one of the key indicators for the success of any food startup. One of the startup has done an amazing job in telling the story we already believed in.
Yes, I am talking about F.R.I.E.N.D.S cafe, They took their name, theme & story from a famous television series F.R.I.E.N.D.S which is one of the most watched television series of all times with millions of views worldwide. They didn’t spent tons of money on PR agencies to create the hype of their newly launched cafe instead they told the story we already believed in, if you have watched F.R.I.E.N.D.S at any stage of your life you would be craving to visit that cafe for at least once. Not just the local media but international media agencies took up this story and put them in their headlines for weeks “Stating Pakistan has its own FRIENDS themed cafe”. I am not talking about the food or quality of service they are offering as I have never been there, but the point here is to highlight their marketing strategy which worked pretty well to get the early traction.
